Headmaster ELENA CENTEMERO

Elena Centemero was born in Milan on December 8, 1968.
She is the Principal of the “Vanoni” Institute in Vimercate. She graduated in Classical Literature. She was a member of Parliament of the Italian Republic from 2008 to 2018 – member of the Bicameral Commission for Childhood, of the VII Culture Commission, of the XIV Political Commission of the European Union, of the I Commission of Constitutional Affairs, of the Commission on Intolerance, Xenophobia, Racism and Hate phenomena and the Advisory Committee on the conduct of Deputies.

From 2013 to 2018 she was a Member of the Council of Europe and from 2016 to 2018 she was the President of the Equality and Non Discrimination Commission of the Council of Europe and Vice President of the European People’s Party (EPP). She achieved the Master in Management of Educational Institutions (MES) at MIP, the Business School of the Polytechnic University in Milan, the Master in Management for Schools at the University of Bergamo, the Postgraduate Course in Tourism Economics at the Bocconi University in Milan and attended the course “Women, politics and institutions” at the University in Milan.

In 2017 she received the Fidapa International Award “Excellent Advocacy for Women” for her commitment and activities in favor of equality and women; the “Women who could do it” Award, awarded by Sportello Donna and the General Assembly of Women; the “Excellence Woman” Award from Fidapa BPW Italy- Albenga section; the International Award “Rosa d’Oro 2017” during the World Congress on Human Rights. She coordinates the working table at the Local School Office in Monza and Brianza for the implementation of the National Plan for Respect Education and implementation of the National Guidelines.

In 2019 she was the Coordinator of the Technical-Scientific Committee for the Development of Professional Skills in the Tourism and Agriculture sectors at the Ministry of Agriculture and Tourism. From 2018/19 she has been coordinating the network of schools of the Erasmus + Vet Turism projects, first in Italy with the Enterprise Project. Since November 2019 she has been coordinating the Study and Research Group on internationalization, multilingualism, European planning and specialization language in the tourism sector. Since November 2019, the “Vanoni” Institute has been the regional lead school of the Lombardy Region-USR Lombardy project “At school against violence on women” and coordinates the network of 36 schools of the Province of Monza and Brianza in the project “At school against violence on women”.

Dirigente ELENA CENTEMERO

Elena Centemero, nata a Milano l’8 dicembre 1968, è Dirigente Scolastica dell’Istituto Vanoni di Vimercate. Laureata in Lettere Classiche è stata parlamentare della Repubblica italiana dal 2008 al 2018, membro della Commissione Bicamerale per l’Infanzia, della VII Commissione Cultura, della XIV Commissione Politiche dell’Unione Europea, della I Commissione Affari Costituzionali, della Commissione sull’ intolleranza, la xenofobia, il razzismo e i fenomeni di odio e del Comitato Consultivo sulla condotta dei Deputati.

Dal 2013 al 2018 è stata membro del Consiglio d’Europa e dal 2016 al 2018 Presidente della Commissione Equality e Non discrimination del Consiglio d’Europa e Vice Presidente del Partito Popolare Europeo (PPE). Ha conseguito il Master in Management
delle Istituzioni Scolastiche (MES) presso il MIP, la scuola di business del Politecnico di Milano. il Master in Dirigenza per le scuole presso l’Universitá di Bergamo, il Corso di Perfezionamento in Economia del turismo presso l’Università Bocconi di Milano e ha
frequentato il corso “Donne, politiche e “Istituzioni”  presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano.

Nel 2017 ha ricevuto per l’impegno e le attività a favore della parità e delle donne il Premio Internazionale Fidapa “Excellent Advocacy for Women Awards”; il Premio “Donne che ce l’hanno “fatta”,  conferito da Sportello Donna e dagli Stati Generali delle Donne; il Premio “Eccellenza Donna” da  Fidapa BPW Italy sez. Albenga;
il Premio  Internazionale “Rosa d’Oro 2017” durante il Congresso Mondiale dei Diritti Umani. Coordina il tavolo di lavoro presso l’Ufficio Scolastico Territoriale di Monza e Brianza per l’attuazione del Piano Nazionale per l’Educazione al Rispetto e l’attuazione
delle Linee Guida Nazionali.

Nel 2019 è stata Coordinatrice del Comitato Tecnico-Scientifico per lo Sviluppo delle Competenze Professionali nei settori del Turismo e dell’Agricoltura presso il Ministero delle Politiche Agricole e del Turismo. Dal 2018/19 coordina la Rete delle scuole del progetto Erasmus + Vet Turismo, prima in Italia con il Progetto Enterprise. Da novembre 2019 coordina il Gruppo di Studio e ricerca riguardante l’internazionalizzazione, il multilinguismo, la progettazione europea e la microlingua nel settore del Turismo. Da novembre 2019 l’Istituto Vanoni è scuola capofila regionale del progetto Regione Lombardia-USR Lombardia “A scuola contro la violenza sulle donne” e coordina la Rete di 36 scuole della Provincia di Monza e Brianza “A scuola contro la violenza sulle donne”.
